Press Clippings – Jonas’ moving up, Shock moving out

Posted by pistonsnation

  • Ted Kuflan of the Detroit News says JONAS JEREBKO, who started on Saturday against the Grizzlies, has moved in front of CHRIS WILCOX and JASON MAXIELL in the rotation.
  • Speaking of JASON MAXIELL, where has he gone?  He’s pretty much been M.I.A. this preseason.  In the last three games he’s combined for 6 points & 6 boards in 44 minutes of play.  Am I reading to much into preseason?
  • After surrendering a combined 54% shooting in their last two losses COACH KUE is focusing on the defensive lapses, especially transition D
  • The Pistons are donating 1,000 pairs of shoes and socks to needy kids.
  • WILL BYNUM has been THE MAN this preseason.  He’s leading the team in ppg (15.8) and assists (3.5).  Way to be Thrill!  Will is also doing great things of the court, helping out to raise money for Autism research.  Definitely my favorite current Piston.
  • RODNEY STUCKEY has split from agent Aaron Goodwin, who represents players such as Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, and Al Horford. Stuckey will have an opportunity for a Rajon Rondo-type of extension next summer [Boston Globe]
  • The DETROIT SHOCK are moving to TULSA? Ehh, what?
  • Pistons take on Billy Lambs T-Wolves on Thursday at the Palace.  Again no TV coverage, but the last game of the preseason on Friday in a rematch against the Grizzlies will be on Fox Sports Detroit.  Gotta finish strong going into the regular season.

I just have this feeling that Joe is thinking of moving him before the deadline … an athletic, young big man on a reasonable contract might be the biggest trade asset we’ve got at the moment …

So you’re saying Joe is pulling the strings as far as the rotation goes?

I hope not. I don’t see Kue as a yes-man like Curry was.
