Afflalo and Sharpe joining Chauncey in Denver

AUBURN HILLS – The Detroit Pistons have traded Arron Afflalo and Walter Sharpe to Denver for a future second round pick.
The move frees up an additional $1.8 million in salary cap space, which brings Detroit $3.5 million under the salary cap.
This is one of those rumors that actually panned out. There’ll be another move, you can be sure of that much. I just hope the second part of the rumor, the one saying we’re clearing cap space to go after Boston’s Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis isn’t correct.
It’s a bummer we’re so deep at SG because I, and many others, loved ‘Flo’s work ethic and energy. He’s going to be a nice player. Watch.

i liked afflalo’s ability to backup at sg, and small forward. He is a ‘glue guy’ that will be missed. I hope this is not to bring in a fringe big man, like gooden or big baby. I hope this is clearing cap space to package in a a 3-team trade for boozer. Lee or a nother solid young big body.
July 13th, 2009 at 1:36 pmdo you think arron will tear it up and do really well in denver, like most so-so producers of pistons past have? (see: flip murray, bob sura, etc)
