Kings’ Snapshot
Road record: 2-13
Vs. East 0-8
Last game: 12/30 (Tues) W 92-90 Vs. Clippers
Last 10: 2-8
Streak: won 1
Vs. Pistons: Nov 12th Pistons (100) @ Kings (92)
Back in November Detroit got their first post-trade win at the hands of the Kings. The Pistons faced the Kings were without their number one scoring option Kevin Martin (The Pistons played that game without Rodney Stuckey suffering from dizziness) . Martin, who will be in the lineup tonight, has had ankle injuries that have limited to a total of 10 games played this season.
Kevin Martin returned to action after missing the previous ten games scoring 20 points in the Kings win over the Clippers on Tuesday snapping Sacramento’s six game losing streak.
The Pistons will be without Rip Hamilton for a 4th straight game with as strained groin. They very well might also be without may be without Rasheed Wallace (foot), and Antonio McDyess (ribs). Dice also wasn’t with the Pistons the first time we played the Kings because of the Iverson trade.
A win tonight would extend the Pistons winning streak to six games. It would be nice to see the Pistons head out West on a winning note. The Pistons are embarking on a four game road trip starting on Sunday against the Clippers. After Sunday it’ll be an arduous three games in four nights against the likes of Portland, Denver and Utah to wrap up the roadie.
ALSO OF NOTE: The Pistons have allowed just 83.8 points per game on 40.1% shooting during their five-game winning streak … This game kicks off a 4 game road trip for the Kings … Pistons’ defense starting to roll … Amir Johnson’s power makes him handy … The Pistons have won five of the last eight meetings against Sac … Flip Saunders is on the Kings coaching radar … Knicks interested in Carlos Delfino? … Marbury to the Celtics? …
