There was a game played. A game that saw the Knicks (98) jump all over the Pistons (94) and be up by as many as 25 points. In the fourth quarter the Knick reserves nearly game the game away to a better second unit in Detroit. The events would have made for a pretty interesting recap if not for the real story of the night, the celebration of professional basketball in Detroit. The Pistons unveiled their all-time 30 man roster.

Who are there more fans of in Detroit? Laimbeer or Mahorn? I’d say Laimbeer. Pistons.com had a write-up about the greats and said Mahorn is probably the favorite bad boy in Detroit. I know there’s a lot of people that hate Laimbeer. I love that he doesn’t take any crap from anybody. He says he still can’t talk to Larry Bird to this day. He hates the Celtics and the Lakers.
