Let’s get ready to rumble!

(9-6) Vs. (8-5)

7:30 est @ The Palace of Auburn Hills
Local TV: TV20 Detroit

The Pistons will get the opportunity to avenge the ‘bad dream’ that was the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals. The only way for the Pistons to finally wake up from that is to hold LeBron James, who starred as the Boogie Man, in check. LeBron Has been nothing short of phenomenal this season carrying Cleveland on his back while becoming a triple-double machine.

Hopefully LBJ will have tired legs tonight to help the Pistons defense slow him down. The Cavs are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights which included an overtime affair with the Celtics last night in Cleveland. The Cavs are riding a four game win streak and are 5-3 on the road. The Pistons are currently #1 in the Central followed by guess who…the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Pistons expect to have the services of both Rasheed Wallace and Richard Hamilton in the starting lineup. The Pistons will not have to contend with the antics of Anderson Varejao who’s a contract hold out and has recently told ESPN’s Chad Ford that he wants to be traded from the Cavs.

Lindsey Hunter on the Cavs as a rival:

“Ninety percent of the teams that play us could be considered rivals,” Hunter said. “Everybody hates us. Everybody wants to kill us.” (via: The Detroit News)

Rasheed Wallace (from preseason game #2) on jawing with Gooden & James:

Just the usual, young punks thinking they really did something,” said the always outspoken Wallace. “So now we gonna have to put those young-ass cats in their place. You know, he got a little bit out of control with his mouth; that’s all. The normal junk talk.”

Alot of topic on how “Lebron” beat the Celtics in OT i saw that game (I have the league pass watched the last 2 minutes)

He did kind of hit big shots but whatever tonight its about us now, i hope flip rotates well, and doesn’t lean everything on the starters

  2. The Druggist Says:

Please Sheed…it wasn’t like the Cavs beat you 1 lucky time. one game may have been a fluke, but a 7 game series cannot be a fluke. The better team won last year. Lets get it.

  3. Nick (pentium4forever) Says:

I love Sheed’s attitude talking about the Crapaliers! DET has to win the game tonight, a statement game to show CLE that they aren’t all that! Let’s kick their ass!

  4. The1theycallFoo Says:

I kno its early in the season, but the pistons have a long road of head them,n this iz goin show us a lil sumthin..N the officiating waz so bad last year championship,it could have possibly change the outcome of a close series! FLUKE! Cavs aint goin to know finals in a looooong ass time .

  5. Nick (pentium4forever) Says:

I’m impressed to see CLE beat the Celtics last night. I would have picked Celtics to win it. Oh well. I want tonight’s game a W more than any other game for November! Let’s beat the s**t out of the Cavs tonight. Pardon my language.

    The1theycallFoo,

Right on, dude. Cavs ain’t going to the Finals this year or the next unless they get some better talent around Lebron. They need a GREAT point guard. Gibson is an alright player that can shoot the ball well. That’s about it from what I’ve seen. I expect the Bulls to turn it around eventually.

  7. pistonsnation Says:

James did have a great performance last night but it was far from a masterpiece. He shot 11/25 (2/8 behind the arc).

  8. Nick (pentium4forever) Says:

I can see why players get techs so often, some of the calls the refs make are completely ridiculous! It sucks when you don’t get the call and then at the other end the other team gets away with it! That is what angers coaches and players.
