- Amir (Do ya do ya do ya) Johnson will be joining other NBA’ers in China to play an exibition game to raise money for Chinese charities. Also, in this same article Keith Langlois reports that 12 teams reportly contacted the Pistons this summer about possible S&T deals for the youngster. …Update: here’s some presser/candid shots of the game’s particiapnts (thanks to DBB)
- Sean Deveney has really been putting in some work for the Pistons lately. Here he goes one on one with Amir Johnson. Good read.
- Warren Blatt wrote for the Sports Network that Joe Dumars’ offseason should keep the Pistons in the Eastern Conference hunt. Now that the Celtics hype is dying down we’re seeing more and more pieces like this where objectional minds are coming back to their senses.
- Rip’s “days of wearing contacts are over”, and evidently so are LeBron’s, as he’ll go to the same doc for his lasik procedure as the Ripster. Is there anything the Cavs won’t copy?
- Palace cup thrower is back in the news
- Ben Wallace is in town to pimp his new Stabury kicks.
- Former Pistons Allan Houston is close to inking a deal with the NJ Nets.
- Marbury says lawsuit against Isiah is “a joke”. Though I want to take him seriously, after this I can’t.
- More negative press for Shaq-Fu. Former fling claims the Diesel’s little Diesel is less than proportionate and that he perspires like a mother . Ouch!
Sunday it’s a winner-takes-all game 5 for the WNBA championship. I implore any of you not going to the game at the Palace to watch the Shock go for chamionship repeat on ESPN2 at 4:30pm. GO SHOCK!!!
