I’ve never been a Reggie Miller fan. I hated everytime he’d kick a guy while shooting and draw a foul. Made me sick. Even though I took pride as a Piston fan that we retired him in ‘05, I’d actually like to see him back for another career K.O. potentially at the hands of the Pistons again.
As many of have probably read / heard Reggie Miller is interested in a comeback with the Boston Celtics. As a Piston fan I’d like to see this happen. Celtic’s coach Doc Rivers thinks a 42 year old Miller can handle a 15 minute per game role. With as thin as the Celtic’s roster is now this is what they’re going after? Another soft player who’s just going to camp out on the perimeter. Miller was on visible downstroke back in the last couple of years he was playing so what will have after a couple of years off? That team needs defense and guys to do the dirty work, which Reggie was never noted for and neither is their other big 3. They’ll need more than just a skill-set limited Scot Pollard & Grandpa Reggie to contend for the conference.
Ainge needs to seek out young athletic guys looking for their shot to fill in the blanks around KG, Pierce, & Ray Allen, not post-prime superstars looking to fill personal voids. Maybe his other former Celtic teammate up in Indiana can throw him a job prolonging bone? Or, how about some Webber to the Celtics rumors? Scottie Pippen, what are you up to??

[…] Former Piston Allan Houston wants to give it another go, whereas Reggie Miller says nahhh, despite our advice. […]
