So much for “we’re sticking with Garnett”
Well, no need to scheme on a ‘Sheed for Garnett trade, there’s a more pressing issue…HOW TO MATCH THE C’s?? Paul Pierce, no prob. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, we still got this. Pierce, Allen, AND Garnett? Rut Roh Ragy. This is now a team we need to worry about in the East. They’re still need a PG to run the show (and depth wouldn’t hurt), but the rest of the court is on lock for Boston. They’ll be my pick to win the Atlantic.
Do I think this trade leap frogs Boston above the Pistons? Well not quite, but they’ll be a contender. Forming a superstar conga line does not guarantee you anything (see ‘04 Lakers). They still have to be cohesive. There still is only going to be one rock, so it’s not a given that they’ll walk away with the East. The Pistons still have the most experienced group in the East and we have more in reserves.
Truth be told I hate the Celtics. Have since “and now there’s a steal by Bird…”. This trade makes it matter again. Bring it on C’s!
USA Today: BOSTON (AP) — Kevin Garnett is leaving Minnesota after the Boston Celtics agreed to acquire the All-Star forward in a multiplayer trade with the Timberwolves, a Celtics official told The Associated Press on Monday.
Among the players who could be headed to Minnesota are forward Al Jefferson, of Prentiss, guard Sebastian Telfair, swingman Gerald Green and center Theo Ratliff, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been completed. The official also said the Timberwolves would get at least one draft choice.

“yes” I do agree with this article, but I just can’t wait until ALL Star New Orleans. The reason I say that is becuase now there will be a reason to actually watch this all star game lol. At least now the east has some help in the post this year.
